The Tea Rooms where restored in October 2022, and over the coming months, the inside will be restored as well.
Before we could commence work on the Tea Room, unfortunately a there was an Ash tree damaged by Ash Dieback that needed to be cut down. Given the amount of trees that we had already planted, and the location of the tree, we decided to commission a sculpture to try and highlight the biodiversity project that we had embarked upon.
Simon O'Rourke undertook the commission (25/03/2021) and came up with the idea of the Mad Hatter to mark the Tea Rooms. You can read more about it here
